Frequently Asked Questions
You have questions, I attempt to provide you with answers. Most of them are lies, but let’s face it, the truth is boring. Am I right? Right?
Anywho, here are some of the burning questions:
- d3ft?
- Why d3ft.com?
- Why d3ft punk?
- Who is d3ft punk?
- Why don’t you add [this IP address|range] to that thing about blocking RIPE IP addresses?
- Were you important at one point?
- Pronounce it like the word ‘deft’. Look, if Alex Payne and b3ta can get away with it, so can I! ↩
- Because it was available. Do you know how hard it is to get a four–letter domain name these days? Very hard. That’s how hard it is. ↩
- d3ft punk is the name I use for all sorts of things. Mainly used because you have to have a name, you can’t just go by ‘d3ft’, and it works out that it looks a little like a band’s name. ↩
- d3ft punk is me. Knowing more about me will not make me any more engaging than I already am. ↩
- Because I could keep on adding until the Internet stops moving. Frankly, you could block every IP address on the planet and still get sith traffic. The two worst offenders are what I suggest people block first, then segments as your site weathers traffic. ↩
- Nope. Not really. ↩
